This sector of space is controlled by a full on empire. Their major goals are conquest. Societally the Romulans are very aggressive and ruthless. They live for the Glory of Combat. They almost never take prisoners and will never surrender, prefering death to dishonor. In battle they are cool and cunning. When at play/leisure they put just as much effort into it.

The Romulans are a humanoid race. 70% of the population is Romulan.

Out of all the members of the Confederation. The Romulans relations with the Federated Suns are stressed the most. There is a Zone of dispute between the two Star Cultures which is approximately 150 - 300 LY across, occasionally there are skirmishes between the two in this contested Zone.

There are three distinct classes within the Empire, Citizens, Warriors and non-Citizens (non-romulans). Most high ranking officials are of the Warrior Class.
