This is a benevolent federation of psionically active races, dedicated to the continuing evolution of the aggregate mind of the Milky Way Galaxy. Individual minds in the Milieu share an intimate fellowship called Unity.

The Coadunate doesnt really control any specific area of space. They do, however, control/populate planets and star systems all over the Galaxy. They are what keeps the Confederation from becoming one huge bloody free for all.

They also control and monitor the Star Gates. There is a Gate every 6-800 LY or so. Fees are generaly 10 CR per ton transported.

They have something of an enforcement arm which is made up of individuals from various races. This group is used primarily for information gathering, however, they do have "police" powers in the Confederation (in varying degrees). They also work to maintain the current level of society and to protect the Confederation from both exterior and interior threats. They are called "Lensmen".
