| Awards for Valor | ||

Gold Star | The highest award for valor in the Federated Suns. Awarded for multiple consecutive heroic actions at the risk of life above and beyond all expectation of duty. |

Silver Star | Awarded for heroic actions at the risk of life beyond the requirements of duty, the omission of which actions would not normally result in criticism. |
 |
Bronze Star | Awarded for a single act of heroism at the risk of one's own life by taking an unusual risk beyond that which would be expected of any service member. |

Distinguished Service Cross | Awarded for major achievements over an extended period of time. |
 |
Distinguished Service Medal | A lesser award given for specific acts (or extended periods) in which the individual is distinguished as having gone far beyond what would be expected of Star Fleet personnel. |
 |
Meritorious Service Medal | Awarded for singular acts of service or achievement which were performed with great merit. Combat is not required for this award. |
 |
20 Year Service Medal | For 20 years of service to Star Fleet. Additional decades are denoted by adding a silver star device to the ribbon. |
 |
10 Year Service Medal | For 10 years of service to Star Fleet. |
 |
5 Year Service Medal | For 5 years of service to Star Fleet. |

Command Star Medal | Awarded for spectacular accomplishment under extremely difficult conditions. |
 |
Command Achievement Medal | Awarded to a commander who while exposed to personal risk, achieved more than could have reasonably been expected. |
 |
Command Accomplishment Medal | Awarded for accomplishment of a mission. In peacetime, most ship commanders receive one at the endo ftheir tour of command. In wartime, one is awarded for each decisive victory over an enemy ship or for any mission accomplished at great risk. |

Commendation Medal | This award can be given to military personnel for any valid reason, from a university professor who conducted two years of research into new materials to a junior officer who conducted a minor mission with above average results. |
| Campaign Ribbons | ||
| Star Fleet awards a series of Campaign Ribbons for those who participate in various campaigns. In the most general sense, a Star Fleet officer or crewman who completes a one year tour of duty during wartime (or five years during peacetime) would receive the appropriate campaign ribbon for the theatre in which he/she served. Ribbon color is dependant on the theatre of operation that the serviceman is stationed in. Ribbons can also be issued for specific planetary and/or space engagements which involved either significant resources, time or risk. |

Oolong Campaign Ribbon | Issued to personnel stationed along the border of the Federated Suns and the Oolong Combine. |
 |
Power Campaign Ribbon | Issued to personnel stationed along the border of the Federated Suns and The Power. |

Romulan Campaign Ribbon | Issued to personnel stationed along the border of the Federated Suns and the Romulan Empire |
 |
Dominium Campaign Ribbon | Issued to personnel stationed along the border of the Federated Suns and the Dominium Star League |
 |
Azuriach Campaign Ribbon | Issued to personnel stationed along the border of the Federated Suns and the Azuriach Imperium. |

Blarad Campaign Ribbon | Issued to personnel stationed along the border of the Federated Suns and the Blarad Kingdom |
 |
Korrelian Campaign Ribbon | Issued to personnel stationed along the border of the Federated Suns and the Korrelian Empire. |
 |
Merchantile Campaign Ribbon | Issued to personnel stationed along the border of the Federated Suns and the Mercantile League. |
 |
Rannan Campaign Ribbon | Issued to personnel stationed along the border of the Federated Suns and the United Ranan Worlds. |

Rauwoof Campaign Ribbon | Issued to personnel stationed along the border of the Federated Suns and the Confederated Rauwoof Republic. |

Federated Suns Peacetime Campaign Ribbon | Issued to personnel who have served for at least five years in peacetime in the interior regions of the Federated Suns. |

Piracy Campaign Ribbon | Issued for active service and engagements against piracy. |

Guardian of Life Medal | Awarded in cases of multiple consecutive acts of valor, leadership and service equivalent to those required to earn the FS Gold Star but which did not take place in conditions of wartime combat. |

Champion of Life Medal | As above but in relation to the FS Silver Star. |
 |
Life Saving Medal | Awarded to anyone who saves a sentient life at the risk of his/her own life. |
 |
Purple Heart | Awarded to any personnel who has been wounded or killed in any action with an opposing armed force. |

Combat Action Ribbon | Awarded to anyone who performed his/her duty under enemy fire. Devices which can be added for additional engagements are: Crossed Swords, for hand-hand combat; Arrowhead, for an orbital combat drop; Single Wing, for aerospace combat. |
 |
Federated Suns Unit Citation | Unit Citations may be authorized to ships and ground force units which perform in a particularly outstanding way. The highest of these awards is issued by the Federated Suns Council. |
 |
Star Fleet Unit Citation | This Citation is issued by Star Fleet command. |
 |
Battle Efficiency Award | In peacetime the Battle Efficiency Award is given to crews of ships which are in the top 10% of the fleet as judged in annual inspections and combat training exercises. |
